I know I’ll finish the Statera Saga this year. I’m in the home stretch. I plan to release my final book by the end of the year. But I’m finding it hard to finish the story. It’s almost like I don’t want it to end.
For my planning purposes, I know how my story will end. I have an outline to get me there, but when I sit down to write, I’m finding it hard to stay focused. The path is laid out ahead of me. Of course I’ll have to fill in the details, but I know where I want my story to go. I just can’t get momentum. Is this a different version of writer’s block?
Right now I’m training in a new job location. It is admittedly taking up a lot of my concentration, and causing me to want to relax more on my time off. I think that extra needed relaxation is taking away from my writing time. I know I need to buckle down. I’m hoping over the next month or two to finish the first full draft. I’m really hoping I can pull off a December release date. I know it’ll be worth it in the end!
